That's because longtime female mentor Christina Aguilera is set to return when the eighth season kicks off, rejoining bromantic duo Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. This season also marks the first time Aguilera will chair-tango with newcomer Pharrell Williams, who is back for his second consecutive season and ready to mentor a contestant into the finals this time (hopefully). THE VOICE Monday, 8 p.m., CTV2 & NBC MASTERCHEF JUNIOR Tuesday, 8 p.m., CTV & Fox After weeks of strange ingredients, elaborate kitchen concoctions and oh-so-many mystery boxes, the third Junior edition of this culinary race comes to a close this Tuesday when a new kiddie is named champion. Audiences won't miss the show for long though — the fourth season has already been ordered and is expected to go into production this spring, with an intended fall or winter airdate later this year. So for a reality show to "survive" as long as this one has really is an amazing feat. Indeed, this week marks a historic and groundbreaking moment in the franchise's history and TV history in general, when the 30th season kicks off. Unlike some seasons of late, there will be no returning players or all-stars to speak of. Instead the show is getting back to basics by introducing a completely new crop of players who will strive to outwit, outplay and outlast the rest. As with previous instalments there will be a kooky theme to kick off the competition, with the chosen Lovers & Liars CATFISH Wednesday, 7 p.m. & 9 p.m., MTV Canada The fourth season of this bait-and-switch dating series premieres this week, but co-host Max Joseph is nowhere to be found. While he takes a five-episode hiatus to direct a movie, a slew of guest hosts (including MTV's Charlamagne, Miss Teen USA Cassidy Wolf and YouTuber Tyler Oakely) will sub in.
