SHAQ ATTACK! H ey, kids, remember Shaq Fu? You don't? Well, allow us to assure you that it was all the rage in '94 and '95, which is why young Eddie is positively champing at the bit to get his very own copy of the Shaquille O'Neal- based video game. In fact, he's so desperate that he breaks down and takes a job at the family restaurant to earn the money. Unfortunately, the experience isn't everything he'd expected it to be. Who would've guessed that the owner's son wouldn't get preferential treatment? FRESH OFF THE BOAT Tuesday, 8 p.m., ABC WEB OF TERROR A B C , 2 C T V, F O X Hot Comedies Goin' Bueller 16 TV WEEK R emember last year when The Goldbergs paid tribute to a classic '80s movie by offering an episode-length homage to The Goonies? This season, they're taking on one of the decade's classic teen comedies by turning in an episode entitled — wait for it — "Barry Goldberg's Day Off." "The way John Hughes captured that epic day of fun, it was the obvious choice to send the Goldbergs on a quest to recreate that awesome day off," series creator Adam F. Goldberg said in a statement when the episode was initially announced. You can probably already guess more or less how the proceedings begin, with Barry pretending to be sick and setting off to have an awesome day off. The problem, as anyone who watches this show already knows, is that Barry Goldberg is no Ferris Bueller, and when things Backseat Writer THE ODD COUPLE Thursday, 8:31 p.m., CTV & CBS Oscar gets hired as the ghostwriter on the autobiography of a retired baseball player (guest star Geoff Stults, late of Enlisted), but when his roomie Felix offers his own two cents, things get messy. NEW GIRL Tuesday, 9 p.m., City & Fox Scared of spiders? It's a pretty common fear, so we wouldn't be surprised if you are. As it turns out, so is Schmidt. In fact, he ends up getting so completely freaked out by the sight of the eight-legged little buggers that the discovery of one in the loft forces the gang into a full-fledged spider hunt. Meanwhile, as the arachnid attack is in full swing, Winston somehow manages to convince Jess that Cece is in love with Nick.
