TV WEEK 21 C T V, H G T V Cash House INCOME PROPERTY Thursday, 6 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. (repeating at 9 p.m. & 9:30 p.m.), HGTV Thinking of buying a home to earn yourself a little extra pocket cash? There's no one better to guide you than Canadian investor Scott McGillivray, who returns with a 10th season of his popular real-estate series this week. THE AMAZING RACE Wednesday, 9:30 p.m., CTV & CBS I f you've ever been on a blind date, then you know the dangers that can come with being forced to spend time with someone who you really don't get along with. Now imagine travelling around the globe with that person. That's the twist featured on the 26th season of this world-trekking series. This time around the show will feature 11 dating couples, six of whom were previously attached, and five of whom will meet for the very first time at the starting line. It's what CBS is officially calling the most extreme blind date ever — and what we call grasping to keep the series fresh. Nonetheless, it does make for an intriguing social experiment, calling into question whether it really is a good idea to throw yourself into a high stakes situation in another country with someone who you're super close with, or if it's easier to be your best self around a stranger. In any event, we hope at least one half of each new couple knows how to drive stick. The premiere airs on a special day and time before shifting back to its regular Friday-night timeslot next week. Twist of Date arfare castaways divvied up into three different tribes: blue collar, white collar and no collar. This isn't the first time the show has split its contestants up into thirds, although it is the first time their jobs have dictated where they'd land. According to host Jeff Probst, however, the categories had no bearing on how this season was initially cast; that was just how it worked out when they looked at the profiles from the production team's final picks. Whether they really are "Worlds Apart," as the season's tagline indicates, remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: they're all hungry for a million bucks.
